SATSUKI GARDENS

About Satsuki Gardens

Satsuki Gardens surrounds the Grove Dental Associates building at 57 Heffelman DR, Grove, OK. The Gardens were built by Dr. Leonard Miller during the spring of 2018 in conjunction with the construction of the dental office. Dr. Miller also built the public Botanical garden, Lendonwood Gardens, in Grove.

Satsuki is a three-acre garden with full sun plants and a large 32,000-gallon Koi pond. The gardens connect to a fifty-year-old Japanese garden also built and designed by Dr. Miller.

The garden is open to the public year-round. You will find interesting trees in front of the office including Asian maples. In the back of the building is a large Koi pond with three waterfalls. It is full of beautiful Koi fish. On the northwest lawn is a large conifer garden. Other garden plants that live in full sun were planted in that area. In some areas, there is zoysias grass that surrounds the oval conifer garden. Roses are planted in the area just north of the conifers. Parking is best during the week in the Lowes parking lot across the street from the garden. The garden is interesting year-round due to the evergreen conifers. There are no labels so it doesn’t qualify as a botanical garden.
